Reliability, Speed, and Polish
We wrapped up the year by making everything faster and sturdier. Messages now travel between Telegram and Intercom with lower latency and better delivery guarantees. We improved how contacts and conversations are matched, reduced duplicate messages, and made formatting cleaner on both sides. Working with media is smoother, and setup is simpler with clearer guidance and checks. All of this means less time fiddling and more time helping your users.

Groups, Supergroups, and Topics
You can now bridge entire group chats into Intercom. Each message includes the sender context so your team always knows who said what. Admin replies from Intercom go straight back into the group. For group threads with topics, you can keep discussions organized while still maintaining a single clear view in Intercom. Media and files in groups are fully supported as well.

Connect Telegram User Accounts
Beyond bots, you can now connect a personal Telegram account. Sign in with your phone number and confirmation code (and password if you use two‑step verification) and start receiving direct messages and group mentions in Intercom. Reply as yourself from Intercom, keep everything in one place, and manage per‑account settings like greeting and away messages or automatic tagging.

Media & File Support
Photos, videos, documents, and voice notes now flow both ways. Captions are preserved, multiple attachments are handled in one go, and files from Intercom are delivered back to Telegram in the right format. This makes it easy to share screenshots, PDFs, and other helpful materials without leaving your conversation.

Bots: Two‑Way Text Messaging
The first big milestone: connect a Telegram bot and exchange messages with your users through Intercom. New messages create or continue the right conversation, and your team’s replies in Intercom go straight back to Telegram. Optional welcome messages on /start and basic tagging help you keep things organized from day one.

Project Kickoff
We began the journey to make Telegram conversations feel native inside Intercom. The early prototype established workspace linking, a simple onboarding flow, and the first end‑to‑end “Hello from Telegram” arriving in Intercom. From here, we set our path: start with bots and messages, expand into media, then bring full user‑account connectivity.
